Carman Lee has devoted her career to the fashion industry, immersing herself in its various facets. Her journey began at a trading company in Hong Kong, where she honed her craft by developing products for renowned Scandinavian brands.
Subsequently, she delved into product development and merchandising for some of the biggest action sports brands worldwide. It was during her time in Hong Kong that she crossed paths with Phil Hayes, then a Quiksilver Product Exec, and their professional synergy eventually led to them relocating to Fitzroy.
Expressing concern for the substantial waste in the fashion industry, both Carman and Phil endeavored to carve out a sustainable niche. Their decision to establish “Let’s Take Two” in a vacant shop on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy was a product of their vision to provide an unparalleled and refined experience for customers seeking to sell their cherished preloved clothes.
“Let’s Take Two” is Fitzroy’s premier Rent-a-Rack fashion store, providing a platform to buy and sell quality preloved women’s, men’s, and kids’ clothes, bags, and shoes.
The store exudes a boutique-style ambiance, adorned with exposed bricks and showcasing the authentic 1930s terrazzo tile floor.
Clients are afforded the option to secure a rack, complete with spacious areas for hanging garments, as well as dedicated spaces for shoes and bags.
The onus of managing the rack and determining pricing rests with clients, while Let’s Take Two offers the invaluable provision of space on Brunswick Street and spearheads marketing efforts for the products.
Situated on a historically significant street in Melbourne’s oldest suburb, “Let’s Take Two” holds irresistible allure for a diverse audience, drawing both locals and tourists with its ever-changing array of fashion, a direct result of the frequently updated racks.
For as long as we can remember Brunswick Street has been the epicenter of culture in Melbourne. We used to come here for food, wine, shopping, and galleries so when we wanted to open our store this was the street we wanted.
